Poetry Out Loud 2025

On Feb. 7, 2025 Solano County Arts Council brought students from across Solano County to participate in Poetry Out Loud. Students recited poems for a panel of judges with the chance to travel to Sacramento for the state finals.
The winner, Kristian Baisac from Fairfield High School and the runner up, Jaya Franklin from Elite Public School in Vallejo, attended the State Poetry Out Loud competition in Sacramento in mid-March, 2025.
Poetry Out Loud is a national program with partnerships with National Endowment for the Arts, the Poetry Foundation, and state and jurisdictional arts agencies.
